About the Student Animal Rights Alliance
Founded in 2001, Student Animal Rights Alliance is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to mobilizing students and youth towards a culture of respect for animal rights. We work to promote awareness of animal rights and issues that affect animals, mobilize students for animal advocacy, and support student initiatives that advance the protection of animals.
We operate under the simple belief that all living, feeling creatures deserve the right to live free from torture, mutilation, slaughter, and exploitation.
Student Animal Rights Alliance was founded with the recognition that youth activism has always been an important part of social movements, thus we work to carry out our central organizational principle that recognizes the youth of today as not only the leaders of tomorrow, but also the leaders of today. With the leadership and commitment of our network members, we seek to build a culture of respect for animal rights while bridging the gap between animal rights and other social justice concerns.
